This policy explains how the game Mislaid ("the app"), published by SUMAR_TECH ("we"), handles information. It covers the app on Android phones and tablets.
Nothing that identifies you. You don't need an account to play, and we don't ask for your name, email or phone number. Everything the game remembers — which lane you are in, what you have found, your hints and your settings — is stored only on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app. The app does not send your progress or your gameplay to us.
The app shows ads through Google AdMob. There are two kinds, and neither ever interrupts a hunt. The first is a short ad on the card between one find list and the next: never in your first quarter of an hour of play, at most one every two lists, and never on the daily hunt. The second is optional and only ever shown if you ask for it — when you have run out of hints you may choose to watch one for a spare hint. You can decline and keep playing; nothing in the game is locked behind watching one. There is no ad when you open the game, and no banner. The Finder's Pass removes every ad.
To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address (used to estimate approximate location), device model, operating system, and interactions with ads. Google's use of this information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time under Settings → Ad preferences. On Android you can also reset or delete your advertising ID under Settings → Google → Ads.
The app offers two optional one-time purchases. The Finder's Pass removes every ad and gives you your two spare hints without watching anything. The Truck Adda opens one extra place to search, which you can equally earn by playing, with stars. Both are made and paid for entirely through Google Play: we never see or store payment details. The app keeps a note on the device of whether your Google account owns them, so they work offline, and asks Google Play to confirm them when the game starts. There is nothing else to buy — no subscription, no hint packs, and no currency.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app has no chat, no sharing and no links to social media. A grown-up can find this policy under Settings → Privacy.
Settings lists our other games. Tapping one opens its page in the Google Play Store app; we do not track who follows those links beyond the install referrer Google Play provides to us.
Ad and purchase traffic from the app travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
We may update this policy. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date.
