Paint Panic privacy policy

Paint Panic is a party game for one to four players on one screen. We built it so that it collects nothing at all.

What we collect

Nothing. Paint Panic does not collect, store on our servers, share or sell any personal information or usage data. There are no ads, no analytics, no accounts and no sign-in. Nothing the game does is sent to the internet or to us.

What stays on the device

This is kept only in the app's private storage on the device. We never see it. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

Game controllers

Paint Panic reads the buttons and sticks of connected game controllers, the TV remote, the keyboard or the touch screen only to play the game, and can make a controller vibrate. None of this leaves the device.

Phones as controllers

Players can use their phones as controllers. While the game is open, the app answers devices on the same local network (your Wi-Fi) that have the four-digit code shown in the game's lobby. It gives them a controller web page, and the phones send only their stick and button presses to the game; the game sends back which player they are and short vibration cues. This traffic stays on your local network and never goes through the internet or our servers. Nothing is recorded or stored, and it stops when the game is closed or put in the background. A random ID is kept in the phone's browser so a phone that briefly loses Wi-Fi gets its player back; it never leaves your home network.

Children

Paint Panic is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no personal information, there is nothing for us to share with third parties and nothing to request or delete from us.

Purchases

Paint Panic is a one-time purchase on Google Play. There is nothing to buy inside the game. Google handles the purchase under its own privacy policy.

If this policy ever changes, we will update this page and the date above.
